Psalm 9

1 I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart;
I will recount all of your wonderful deeds.

2 I will be glad and exult in you;
I will sing praise to your name, O Most High.

3 When my enemies turn back,
     They stumble and perish before your presence.

4 For you have maintained my just cause;
     You have sat on the throne, giving righteous judgment.

5 You have rebuked the nations;
     You have made the wicked perish;
You have blotted out their name forever and ever.

6 The enemy came to an end in everlasting ruins;
     Their cities you rooted out;
The very memory of them has perished.

7 But the Lord sits enthroned forever;
     He has established his throne for justice,

8 And he judges the world with righteousness;
     He judges the peoples with uprightness.

9 The Lord is a stronghold for the oppressed,
     A stronghold in times of trouble.
10 And those who know your name put their trust in you,
For you, O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek you.

I Will Give Thanks to the Lord (Psalm 9)

I will give thanks to the Lord
With all my heart
I will tell of all thy wonders
I will be glad and exult in thee

I will sing praise to thy name
Oh most high
And rejoice in thy salvation
I will be glad and exalt in thee

I will trust in you my God
Who delivered me
And lifted me from the gates of death
I will be glad and exult in thee

I will give thanks to the Lord
With all my heart
I will tell of all thy wonders
I will be glad and exult in thee

I will tell of all thy wonders
I will be glad and exult in thee
In Thee!

All Prayed Up

   I'm all prayed up, I'm ready to meet my Savior
   Eternal life is waitin' in the by and by
   I'm all prayed up, my faith will never waiver
   Heaven's doors gonna swing wide open when I die

I made my peace with Jesus a long, long time ago
I trusted him and he would save my soul
I walked up there beside him; He guides me on my way
I know he hears me when I kneel and pray

   Chorus

Now I ain't afraid of Satan, his wicked ways of sin
Well he tempted me but he could not pull me in
When I've gone to live with Jesus, face my judgment day
He'll fulfill me for the promise that he made

   Chorus

Daniel Prayed

I read about a man one day
He wasted not his time away
He prayed to God Every mornin’, noon, and night
He cared not for the things of man
But trusted one who never fails
Oh, Daniel prayed Each mornin’, noon, and night

Oh, Daniel served his living God
While upon the earth he trod
He prayed to God, each mornin’, noon, and night
He cared not for the king's decree
But trusted God to set him free
Oh, Daniel prayed  Every mornin’, noon, and night

They locked him in the lions' den
Because he could not honor men
But he prayed to God Every mornin’, noon, and night
The jaws were locked; it made him shout
And God soon brought him safely out
Oh, Daniel prayed Every mornin’, noon, and night

Chorus

Now, brother, let us watch and pray
Like Daniel did from day to day
He prayed to God Every mornin’, noon, and night
We, too, can gladly dare and do
And pray to God he'll see us through
Oh, Daniel prayed Every mornin’, noon, and night

Chorus

As it is in Heaven

Our Father, who art in Heaven
Hallowed be thy name
Come and let your glory
Come and let your glory fall

Our Father, who art in Heaven
The rocks cry out your fame
Come and let your glory
Come and let your glory fall

I will sing, sing a new song
I will sing, sing a new song
I will sing, sing a new song to the Lord

Let your kingdom come
Let your will be done

On earth as it is in heaven
Every eye proclaim
The mercy of your name
On earth as it is in heaven

God give us new every morning
Mercy his daily bread
In the name of Jesus
In the name of Jesus we pray

And lead us not to temptation
But deliver us with your hand
In the name of Jesus
In the name of Jesus we pray Father we pray

Chorus

For the kingdom is yours
And the power is yours
And the glory forever Amen (Repeat)

Let your kingdom come
Let your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven
Every eye proclaim
The mercy of your name
On earth as it is in heaven

Praying in the Kingdom of God

The World’s True King: A Study in Matthew
Steve Gilbertson

Matthew 6:5-14
5“And when you pray, you must not be like the hypocrites. For they love to stand and pray in the
synagogues and at the street corners, that they may be seen by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward.

6But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret.
And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.

7
“And when you pray, do not heap up empty phrases as the Gentiles do,
for they think that they will be heard for their many words.

8Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.
9-13Pray then like this:

“Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name.

Your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.

And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.

14For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you,
15 but if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
