Psalm 22

1 My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?

Why are you so far from saving me, from the

  words of my groaning?

2 O my God, I cry by day, but you do not answer,

and by night, but I find no rest.

3 Yet you are holy,
enthroned on the praises of Israel.

4 In you our fathers trusted;
they trusted, and you delivered them.

5 To you they cried and were rescued;
in you they trusted and were not put to shame.

6 But I am a worm and not a man,
scorned by mankind and despised by the people.

7 All who see me mock me;

    they make mouths at me; they wag their heads;

8 "He trusts in the Lord; let him deliver him;

let him rescue him, for he delights in him!"

Come People of the Risen King

Come, people of the risen King

Who delight to bring him praise

Come all and tune your hearts to sing

To the morning star of grace

From the shifting shadows of the earth

We will lift our eyes to him

Where steady arms of mercy reach

To gather children in

   Rejoice, rejoice

   Let every tongue rejoice

   One heart, one voice

   Church at the Chip, rejoice!

Come those whose joy is morning sun

And those weeping through the night

Come those who tell of battles won

And those struggling in the fight

For his perfect love will never change

And his mercies never cease

But follow us through all our days

With the certain hope of peace

   Chorus

Come, young and old from every land

Men and women of the faith

Come those with full or empty hands

Find the riches of his grace

Over all the world his people sing

Shore to shore we hear them call

The truth that cries through every age

Our God is all in all

   Chorus

Ain't No Grave

O my Lord, it's a winding road

It's all bent from a heavy load

Feel the weight beneath the ground

Ain't no grave gonna hold me down

O my Lord, I can barely sing

Waiting for you and your reckoning

Angels humming, can you hear the sound?

Ain't no grave gonna hold me down

Ain't no grave gonna hold me down

I will rise, I will rise, I will rise, I will rise

   Troubles come for everyone

Death has no respect for love

Roll that stone I won't be found

Ain't no grave gonna hold me down

Lord, I'm crooked from head to toe

Got dirty hands and a dirty soul

I was lost but now I'm found

Ain't no grave gonna hold me down

Ain't no grave gonna hold me down

   Chorus

Woah, Woah, Woah

Feel the weight beneath the ground

Ain't no grave gonna hold me down

   Chorus

Woah, Woah, Woah

Ain't no grave gonna hold me down

Ain't no grave gonna hold me down

I Will Follow

When the sea is calm and all is right

When I feel your favor flood my life

Even in the good, I'll follow you

Even in the good, I'll follow you

When the boat is tossed upon the waves

When I wonder if you'll keep me safe

Even in the storms, I'll follow you

Even in the storms, I'll follow you

I believe everything that you say you are

I believe that I have seen your unchanging heart

In the good things and in the hardest part

I believe and I will follow you

I believe and I will follow you

When I see the wicked prospering

When I feel I have no voice to sing

Even in the want, I'll follow you

Even in the want, I'll follow you

   Chorus

When I find myself so far from home

And you lead me somewhere I don't wanna go

Even in my death, I'll follow you

Even in my death, I'll follow you

When I come to end this race I've run

And I receive the prize that Christ has won

I will be with you in paradise

I will be with you in paradise

   Chorus (2x)

The Authority of Jesus: Over Sin

Steve Gilbertson
Matthew 9:1-8

Authority. By now we may be growing tired of the topic. But Matthew
isn't through. He's demonstrated Jesus' authority oer the Scripture,
over sickness, over nature, over humanity, and over Evil. Now he
shows
us that Jesus had an authority reserved for God alone:
Jesus could forgive sin.

1 And getting into a boat he crossed over and came to his own city. 2 And
behold, some people brought to him a paralytic, lying on a bed. And when
Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic, "Take heart, my son; your sins
are forgiven." 3 And behold, some of the scribes said to themselves, "This
man is blaspheming." 4 But Jesus, knowing their thoughts, said, "Why do you
think evil in your hearts? 5 For which is easier, to say, 'Your sins are forgiven,'
or to say, 'Rise and walk'? 6 But that you may know that the Son of Man has
authority on earth to forgive sins" - he then said to the paralytic- "Rise, pick up
your bed and go home." 7 And he rose and went home. 8 When the crowds saw
it, they were afraid, and they glorified God, who had given such authority to men.
