   Chorus (2x)

Psalm 24

1 The earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof,
the world and those who dwell therein,
2 for he has founded it upon the seas
and established it upon the rivers.

3 Who shall ascend the hill of the Lord?
And who shall stand in his holy place?
4 He who has clean hands and a pure heart,
who does not lift up his soul to what is false
    and does not swear deceitfully.
5 He will receive blessing from the Lord
and righteousness from the God of his salvation.

6 Such is the generation of those who seek him,
who seek the face of the God of Jacob. Selah

7 Lift up your heads, O gates!
And be lifted up, O ancient doors,
that the King of glory may come in.
8 Who is this King of glory?
    The Lord, strong and mighty,
    the Lord, mighty in battle!
9 Lift up your heads, O gates!
And lift them up, O ancient doors,
that the King of glory may come in.
10 Who is this King of glory?
    The Lord of hosts,
he is the King of glory! Selah

When the Roll is Called Up Yonder

When the trumpet of the Lord shall sound
And time shall be no more
And the morning breaks eternal bright and fair
When the saved of earth shall gather over
On the other shore
And the roll is called up yonder I'll be there

When the roll is called up yonder
When the roll is called up yonder
When the roll is called up yonder
When the roll is called up yonder I'll be there

On that bright and cloudless morning when
The dead in Christ shall rise
And the glory of his resurrection share
When his chosen ones shall gather to
Their home beyond the skies
And the roll is called up yonder I'll be there

Let us labor for the Master from
The dawn till setting sun
Let us talk of all his wondrous love and care
Then when all of life is over and
Our work on earth is done
And the roll is called up yonder I'll be there

The Heart of Worship

When the music fades all is stripped away
And I simply come
Longing just to bring something that's of worth
That will bless your heart

I'll bring you more than a song
For a song in itself is not what you have required
You search much deeper within through the way things appear
You're looking into my heart

I'm coming back to the heart of worship
And it's all about you, all about you Jesus
I'm sorry Lord for the thing I've made it
When it's all about you, all about you Jesus

King of endless worth no one could express
How much you deserve
Though I'm weak and poor all I have is yours
Ev'ry single breath

Lord You Know

Lord you know, you know my heart
My mind, my thoughts, my deeds
I stand before you as a, a vessel broken
Longing for your truth

I bow my heart to you alone
I come and kneel before your throne
Take the coal and touch my life
'Cause serving you is my desire

   And I, I, worship you
Spend my life for your glory
I lay it down in sweet surrender
Longing just to do your will
Longing just to do your will

Sick Women, Blind Men, and a Mute Man
Steve Gilbertson
Matthew 9:18-34

In chapters 8-9, Matthew bombards his readers with nine rapid-fire

stories about Jesus' power and authority. As we consider the third
series of these stories, we will see healings of two sick women, two
blind men, and one mute man- all of which are meant to convince his
readers, both yesterday and today, that Jesus is, in fact, the world's
true king.
18 While he was saying this, a synagogue leader came and knelt before him
and said, "My daughter has just died. But come and put your hand on her, and

she will live." 19 Jesus got up and went with him, and so did his disciples.

20 Just then a woman who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years

came up behind him and touched him and touched the edge of his cloak.
21 She said to herself, "If I only touch his cloak, I will be healed."

22 Jesus turned and saw her. "Take heart, daughter," he said, "your faith has

healed you." And the woman was healed at that moment.

23 When Jesus entered the synagogue leader's house and saw the noisy crowd
and people playing pipes, 24 he said, "Go away. The girl is not dead but asleep."
But they laughed at him. 25 After the crowd had been put outside, he went in
and took the girl by the hand, and she got up. 26 News of this spread through
all that region.

27 As Jesus went on from there, two blind men followed him, calling out, "Have
mercy on us, Son of David!"

28 When he had gone indoors, the blind men came to him, and he asked them,
"Do you believe that I am able to do this?"

"Yes, Lord," they replied.

29 Then he touched their eyes and said, "According to your faith let it be done
to you"; 30 and their sight was restored. Jesus warned them sternly, "See that
no one knows about this." 31 But they went out and spread the news about him
all over that region.

32 While they were going out, a man who was demon-possessed and could not
talk was brought to Jesus. 33 And when the demon was driven out, the man who
had been mute spoke. The crowd was amazed and said, "Nothing like this has
ever been seen in Israel."

34 But the Pharisees said, "It is by the prince of demons that he drives out demons."
