ecclesia song

We are called to faith, gathered in love
Sent with hope to change the world
We are called to faith, gathered in love
ecclesia, ecclesia, Church at the Chip

Called to Faith, Gathered in Love,
   Sent with Hope – ecclesia!

Psalm 75

1  We give thanks to you, O God;
we give thanks, for your name is near.
    We recount your wondrous deeds.

2   "At the set time that I appoint
         I will judge with equity.
3   When the earth totters, and all its inhabitants,
it is I who keep steady its pillars.     Selah
4   I say to the boastful, 'Do not boast,'
        and to the wicked, 'Do not lift up your horn;

5   do not lift up your horn on high,
        or speak with haughty neck.'"

6   For not from the east or from the west
and not from the wilderness comes lifting up,
7   but it is God who executes judgment,
putting down one and lifting up another.
8   For in the hand of the Lord there is a cup
        with foaming wine, well mixed,
and he pours out from it,
and all the wicked of the earth
shall drain it down to the dregs.

9   But I will declare it forever;
I will sing praises to the God of Jacob.
10  All the horns of the wicked I will cut off,
but the horns of the righteous shall be lifted up.

This is Amazing Grace

Who breaks the power of sin and darkness
Whose love is mighty and so much stronger
The King of Glory, the King above all kings

Who shakes the whole earth with holy thunder
Who leaves us breathless in awe and wonder
The King of Glory, the King above all kings

   This is amazing grace
   This is unfailing love
That you would take my place
That you would bear my cross
   You laid down your life
That I would be set free
   Oh, Jesus, I sing for
All that you've done for me

Who brings our chaos back into order
Who makes the orphan a son and daughter
The King of glory, the King above all kings
Who rules the nations with truth and justice
Shines like the sun in all of its brilliance
The King of Glory, the King above all kings

Worthy is the Lamb who was slain
Worthy is the King who conquered the grave (3x)
Worthy is the Lamb who was slain
Worthy, Worthy, Worthy

Raise a Hallelujah

I raise a hallelujah, in the presence of my enemies
I raise a hallelujah, louder than the unbelief
I raise a hallelujah, my weapon is a melody
I raise a hallelujah, heaven comes to fight for me

I'm gonna sing, in the middle of the storm
Louder and louder, you're gonna hear my praises roar
Up from the ashes, hope will arise
Death is defeated, the King is alive!

I raise a hallelujah, with everything inside of me
I raise a hallelujah, I will watch the darkness flee
I raise a hallelujah, in the middle of the mystery
I raise a hallelujah, fear you lost your hold on me!

Sing a little louder (In the presence of my enemies)
Sing a little louder (Louder than the unbelief)
Sing a little louder (My weapon is a melody)
Sing a little louder (Heaven comes to fight for me)
Sing a little louder!

King of My Heart

Let the King of my heart
Be the mountain where I run
The fountain I drink from
Oh, he is my song
Let the King of my heart
Be the shadow where I hide
The ransom for my life
Oh, he is my song

   You are good, good, Oh
   You are good, good, Oh
   You are good, good, Oh
   You are good, good, Oh

Let the King of my heart
Be the wind inside my sails
The anchor in the waves
Oh, he is my song
Let the King of my heart
Be the fire inside my veins
The echo of my days
Oh, he is my song

You're never gonna let
Never gonna let me down (4x)

When night is holding on to me
God is holding on (2x)

Singleness in the Family of God
The World's True King: A Study in Matthew

Matthew 19:10-15
Steve Gilbertson

Having taught God's design for marriage, Jesus turns to a related question: Where do
single people fit in God's kingdom? In a world where singleness was suspect, Jesus
elevates (alone among ancient cultures) the place of unmarried persons - and children,
too - in the kingdom of heaven.

Matthew 19:10-15

19 Now when Jesus had finished these sayings, he went away from Galilee and entered the
region of Judea beyond the Jordan. 2 And large crowds followed him, and he healed them

3 And Pharisees came up to him and tested him by asking, "Is it lawful to divorce one's wife for
any cause?" 4 He answered, "Have you not read that he who created them from the beginning
made them male and female, 5 and said, 'Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother
and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh'? 6 So they are no longer two but
one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate." 7 They said to him,
"Why then did Moses command one to give a certificate of divorce and to send her away?"
8 He said to them, "Because of your hardness of heart Moses allowed you to divorce your wives,
but from the beginning it was not so. 9 And I say to you: whoever divorces his wife, except for
sexual immorality, and marries another, commits adultery."

10 The disciples said to him, "If such is the case of a man with his wife, it is better not to marry."
11 But he said to them, "Not everyone can receive this saying, but only those to whom it is given.
12 For there are eunuchs who have been so from birth, and there are eunuchs who have been made
eunuchs by men, and there are eunuchs who have made themselves eunuchs for the sake of the
kingdom of heaven. Let the one who is able to receive this receive it."

13 Then children were brought to him that he might lay his hands on them and pray. The disciples
rebuked the people, 14 but Jesus said, "let the little children come to me and do not hinder them,
for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven." 15 And he laid his hands on them and went away.

We are a family, for Christ has made us One
His blood is flowing through our veins
We are sisters and brothers, daughters and sons

There is in us a unity which cannot be destroyed
In Christ we have become a family
