Psalm 91

1   He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.
2   I will say to the Lord, "My refuge and my fortress,
my God in whom I trust."

3   For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler
       and from the deadly pestilence.
4   He will cover you with his pinions,
       and under his wings you will find refuge;

his faithfulness is a shield and buckler.
5   You will not fear the terror of the night,
nor the arrow that flies by day,
6   nor the pestilence that stalks in darkness,
nor the destruction that wastes at noonday.

7   A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand,
but it will not come near you.
8   You will only look with your eyes
and see the recompense of the wicked.

9   Because you have made the Lord your dwelling place-
the Most High, who is my refuge-
10  no evil shall be allowed to befall you,
no plague come near your tent.

11  For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways.
12  On their hands they will bear you up,
lest you strike your foot against a stone.
13  You will tread on the lion and the adder;

the young lion and the sepent you will trample underfoot.

14  "Because he holds fast to me in love, I will deliver him;
I will protect him, because he knows my name.
15  When he calls to me, I will answer him;
       I will be with him in trouble;
I will rescue him and honor him.
16  With long life I will satisfy him
       and show him my salvation."

Ain't No Grave (Gonna Hold My Body Down)

There ain't no grave can hold my body down
There ain't no grave can hold my body down
When I hear that trumpet sound
I'm gonna rise right out of the ground
Ain't no grave can hold my body down

Well, look down yonder, Gabriel
Put your feet on land and sea
But Gabriel, don't you blow your trumpet 'til you hear it from me
Well, look way down the river
What do you think I see
I see a band of angels, and they're coming after me

   Chorus

Well, meet me, Jesus, meet me
Meet me in the air
And if these wings don't fail me
I will meet you anywhere
I'm going down to the river of Jordan
Bury my knees beneath the sand
Gonna holler high hosanna 'til I see that promised land

   Chorus

Well, look way down the river
What do you think I see
I see a band of angels, and they're coming after me

   Chorus

I Will Follow

When the sea is calm and all is right
When I feel your favor flood my life
Even in the good, I'll follow you
Even in the good, I'll follow you
When the boat is tossed upon the waves
When I wonder if you'll keep me safe
Even in the storms, I'll follow you
Even in the storms, I'll follow you

I believe everything that you say you are
I believe that I have seen your unchanging heart
In the good things and in the hardest part
I believe and I will follow you
I believe and I will follow you

When I see the wicked prospering
When I feel I have no voice to sing
Even in the want, I'll follow you
Even in the want, I'll follow you

   Chorus

When I find myself so far from home
And you lead me somewhere I don't wanna go
Even in my death, I'll follow you
Even in my death, I'll follow you

When I come to end this race I've run
And I receive the prize that Christ has won
I will be with you in paradise
I will be with you in paradise

   Chorus (2x)

Here is Love

Here is love vast as the ocean
Loving kindness as the flood
When the Prince of Life, our ransom
Shed for us his precious blood
Who his love will not remember
Who can cease to sing his praise
He will never be forgotten
Throughout heaven's eternal days

On the mount of crucifixion
Fountains opened deep and wide
Through th efloodgates of God's mercy
Flowed a vast and gracious tide
Grace and love, like mighty rivers
Poured incessant from above
Heaven's peace and perfect justice
Kissed a guilty world in love

Grace and love, like mighty rivers
Poured incessant from above
Heaven's peace and perfect justice
Kissed a guilty world in love
Heaven's peace and perfect justice
Kissed a guilty world in love

The Pharisee in Me
Matthew 23:1-12
The World's True King: A Study in Matthew
Steve Gilbertson

Facing imminent arrest and crucifixion, Jesus pulls no punches in his final showdown
with the religious leaders, condemning their legalism, hypocrisy, and pride. It is a
sober warning to preachers and other spiritual leaders -- but not to them alone.
For all who follow Jesus must learn to reject these traps, and embrace instead the
Jesus way of mercy, integrity and humility.

Matthew 23:1-12

1 Then Jesus said to the crowds and to his disciples, 2 "The scribes and the Pharisees sit on
Moses' seat, 3 so do and observe whatever they tell you, but not the works they do. For they
preach, but do not practice. 4 They tie up heavy burdens, hard to bear, and lay them on people's
shoulders, but they themselves are not willing to move them with their finger. 5 They do all their
deeds to be seen by others. For they make their phylacteries broad and their fringes long, 6 and
they love the place of honor at feasts and the best seats in the synagogues 7 and greetings in the
marketplaces and being called rabbi by others. 8 But you are not to be called rabbi, for you have
one teacher, and you are all brothers. 9 And call no man your father on earth, for you have one
Father, who is in heaven. 10 Neither be called instructors, for you have one instructor, the Christ.
11 The greatest among you shall be your servant. 12 Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and
whoever humbles himself will be exalted.
