Called to Faith, Gathered in Love,
   Sent with Hope – ecclesia!

Psalm 101

1   I will sing of your steadfast love and justice;
to you, O Lord, I will make music.
2   I will ponder the way that is blameless.
Oh when will you come to me?
     I will walk with integrity of heart within my house;
3   I will not set before my eyes
       anything that is worthless.
     I hate the work of those who fall away;
it shall not cling to me.
4   A perverse heart shall be far from me;
I will know nothing of evil.

5   Whoever slanders his neighbor secretly
       I will destroy.
Whoever has a haughty look and an arrogant hert
        I will not endure.

6   I will look with favor on the faithful in the land,
that they may dwell with me.
He who walks in the way that is blameless
        shall minister to me.

7   No one who practices deceit
        shall dwell in my house;
    no one who utters lies
        shall continue before my eyes.

8   Morning by morning I will destroy
all the wicked in the land,
    cutting off all the evildoers
from the city of the Lord.

I Saw the Light/I'll Fly Away

I wandered so aimless life filled with sin
I wouldn't let my dear Savior in
Then Jesus ame like a stranger in the night
Praise the Lord I saw the light

I saw the light, I saw the light
No more darkness no more night
Now I'm so happy no sorrow in sight
Praise the Lord I saw the light

Just like a blind man I wandered along
Worries and fears I claimed for my own
Then like the blind man that God gave back his sight
Praise the Lord I saw the light

I was a fool to wander and stray
For straight is the gate and narrow the way
Now I have traded the wrong for the right
Praise the Lord I saw the light

Some glad morning when this life is o'er, I'll fly away
To a home on God's celestial shore, I'll fly away
I'll fly away, oh glory, I'll fly away
When I die, hallelujah by and by, I'll fly away
When the shadows of this life have gone, I'll fly away
Like a bird from prison bars has flown, I'll fly away
Just a few more weary days and then, I'll fly away
To a land where joy shall never end, I'll fly away

O Love That Will Not Let Me Go

O Love that will not let me go
I rest my weary soul in thee
I give thee back the life I owe
That in thine ocean depths its flow
May richer, fuller be

O Light that followest all my way
I yield my flickering torch to thee
My heart restores its borrowed ray
That in thy sunshine's blaze its day
May brighter, fairer be

O Joy that seekest me through pain
I cannot close my heart to thee
I trace the rainbow through the rain
And feel the promise is not vain
That morn shall tearless be

O Cross that liftest up my head
I dare not ask to fly from thee
I lay in dust life's glory dead
And from the ground there blossoms red
Life that shall endless be

This Is My Father's World

This is my Father's world
And to my listening ears
All nature sings and around me rings
The music of the spheres
This is my Father's world
I rest me in the thought
Of rocks and trees, of skies and seas
His hand the wonders wrought

This is my Father's world
The birds their carols raise
The morning light, the lily white
Declare their Maker's praise
This is my Father's world
He shines in all that's fair
In the rustling grass I hear him pass
He speaks to me everywhere

This is my Father's world
O let me ne'er forget
That through the wrong seems oft so strong
God is the ruler yet
This is my Father's world
The battle is not done
Jesus Who died shall be satisfied
And earth and Heav'n be one

Love Serves
John 13:1-20
Jesus' Last Evening
Steve Gilbertson

John 13:1-20

Jesus knew what was coming, but his disciples were clueless. Soon he would be
betrayed, condemned, and crucified. This was their last evening together. Little
did they know that his life's work would rest in their hands. How will he prepare

them for the future they are so unprepared to face? What will he say to them? We'll
find out in this brief Lenten series as we take a look at Jesus' last evening with his

13 Now before the Feast of the Passover, when Jesus knew that his hour had come to
depart out of this world to the Father, having loved his own who were in the world, he
loved them to the end. 2 During supper, when the devil had already put it into the heart
of Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, to betray him, 3 Jesus, knowing that the Father had given
all things into his hands, and that he had come from God and was going back to God,
4 rose from supper. He laid aside his outer garments, and taking a towel, tied it around his
waist. 5 Then he poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples' feet and to
wipe them with the towel that was wrapped around him. 6 He came to Simon Peter, who said
to him, "Lord, do you wash my feet?" 7 Jesus answered him, "What I am doing you do not
understand now, but afterward you will understand." 8 Peter said to him, "You shall never wash
my feet." Jesus answered him, "If I do not wash you, you have no share with me." 9 Simon Peter
said to him, "Lord, not my feet only but also my hands and my head!" 10 Jesus said to him,
"The one who has bathed does not need to wash, except for his feet, but is completely clean.
And you are clean, but not every one of you." 11 For he knew who was to betray him; that was
why he said, "Not all of you are clean."

12 When he had washed their feet and put on his outer garments and resumed his place, he
said to them, "Do you understand what I have done to you? 13 You call me Teacher and Lord,
and you are right, for so I am. 14 If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet,
you also ought to wash one another's feet. 15 For I have given you an example, that you also
should do just as I have done to you. 16 Truly, truly, I say to you, a servant is not greater
than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him. 17 If you know these
things, blessed are you if you do them. 18 I am not speaking of all of you; I know whom I have
chosen. But the Scripture will be fulfilled, 'He who ate my bread has lifted his heel against
me.' 19 I am telling you this now, before it takes place, that when it does take place you may
believe that I am he. 20 Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever receives the one I send receives me,
and whoever receives me receieves the one who sent me."
