ecclesia song

We are called to faith, gathered in love
Sent with hope to change the world
We are called to faith, gathered in love
ecclesia, ecclesia, Church at the Chip

Called to Faith, Gathered in Love,
   Sent with Hope – ecclesia!

Psalm 114

1   When Israel went out from Egypt,
the house of Jacob from a people of strange language,
2   Judah became his sanctuary,
        Israel his dominion.

3   The sea looked and fled;
       Jordan turned back.
4   The mountains skipped like rams,
       the hills like lambs.

5   What ails you, O sea, that you flee?
O Jordan, that you turn back?
6   O mountains, that you skip like rams?
        O hills, like lambs?

7   Tremble, O earth, at the presence of the Lord,
at the presence of the God of Jacob,
8   who turns the rock into a pool of water,
the flint into a spring of water.

Come People of the Risen King

Come, people of the risen King
Who delight to bring him praise

Come all and tune your hearts to sing
To the morning star of grace
From the shifting shadows of the earth
We will lift our eyes to him
Where steady arms of mercy reach
To gather children in

   Rejoice, rejoice
   Let every tongue rejoice

   One heart, one voice
   Church at the Chip, rejoice!

Come those whose joy is morning sun
And those weeping through the night

Come those who tell of battles won
And those struggling in the fight
For his perfect love will never change
And his mercies never cease
But follow us through all our days
With the certian hope of peace

   Chorus

Come, young and old from every land
Men and women of the faith

Come those with full or empty hands
Find the riches of his grace
Over all the world his people sing
Shore to shore we hear them call
The truth that cries through every age
Our God is all in all

   Chorus

Let my Life be a Light

Let me live, blessed Lord, in the light of thy word
Let my life be a light on a hill

Leading souls now astray to the straight narrow way
Help me do some good deed while I live

Let my life be a light shining out through the night
May I help struggling ones to the fold

Spreading cheer everywhere to the sad and the lone
Let my life be a light to some soul

Give me wisdom and power, every day, every hour
Let me drink from the fountain above

And guide my footsteps aright through this dark and stormy night
Give me peace, give me joy, give me love

   Chorus

Give me souls for my hire, let my light be on fire
Shining out to the world as a guide
Help me rescue someone sinking now with no hope
That in heaven we shall ever abide

   Chorus

I Love to Tell the Story

I love to tell the story of unseen things above
Of Jesus and his glory, of Jesus and his love

I love to tell the story, because I know 'tis true
It satisfies my longings as nothing else would do

I love to tell the story
'Twill be my theme in glory

To tell the old, old story
   Of Jesus and his love

I love to tell the story, 'tis pleasant to repeat
What seems each time I tell it more wonderfully sweet

I love to tell the story, for some have never heard
The message of salvation from God's own holy Word

   Chorus

I love to tell the story, for those who know it best
Seem hungering and thirsting to hear it like the rest
And when in scenes of glory I sing the new, new song
'Twill be the old, old story that I have loved so long

Chorus

Make Disciples of All Nations
Matthew 28:16-20
Steve Gilbertson
Rob Rugloski

"Make disciples of all nations," Jesus said, and the church has been doing that from its inception.
The church of Jesus Christ is, in actual fact, the most international movement in the history of
humanity. This morning, in addition to Pastor Steve's brief look at Jesus' Great Commission, it is
our privilege to hear a report from our own international missionary in Thailand: Rob Rugloski.

Matthew 28:16-20

28 Now after the Sabbath, toward the dawn of the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other
Mary went to see the tomb. 2 And behold, there was a great earthquake, for an angel of the Lord descended
from heaven and came and rolled back the stone and sat on it. 3 His appearance was like lightning, and his
clothing white as snow. 4 And for fear of him the guards trembled and became like dead men. 5 But the angel
said to the women, "Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. 6 He is not here, for
he has risen, as he said. Come, see the place where he lay. 7 Then go quickly and tell his disciples that he
has risen from the dead, and behold, he is going before you to Galilee; there you will see him. See, I have told
you." 8 So they departed quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy, and ran to tell his disciples. 9 And
behold, Jesus met them and said, "Greetings!" And they came up and took hold of his feet and worshiped him.
10 Then Jesus said to them, "Do not be afraid; go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee, and there they will see
me."

11 While they were going, behold, some of the guard went into the city and told the chief priests all that had
taken place. 12 And when they had assembled with the elders and taken counsel, they gave a sufficient sum of
money to the soldiers 13 and said, "Tell people, 'His disciples came by night and stole him way while we were
asleep.' 14 And if this comes to the governor's ears, we will satisfy him and keep you out of trouble." 15 So they
took the money and did as they were directed. And this story has been spread among the Jews to this day.

16 Now the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had directed them. 17 And when
they saw him they worshiped him, but some doubted. 18 And Jesus came and said to them, "All authority in
heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them
in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have
commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age."
