ecclesia song

We are called to faith, gathered in love
Sent with hope to change the world
We are called to faith, gathered in love
ecclesia, ecclesia, Church at the Chip

Called to Faith, Gathered in Love,
   Sent with Hope – ecclesia!

Psalm 117

1   Praise the Lord, all nations!
        Extol him, all peoples!
2   For great is his steadfast love toward us,
and the faithfulness of the Lord endures forever.
     Praise the Lord!

God So Loved the World

Come all you weary, come all you thirsty
Come to the well that never runs dry

Drink of the water, come and thirst no more

Come all you sinners, come find his mercy
Come to the table, he will satisfy
Taste of his goodness, find what you're looking for

For God so loved the world that he gave us
His one and only Son to save us

Whoever believes in him will live forever

Bring all your failures, bring your addictions
Come lay them, down at the foot of the cross

Jesus is waiting there with open arms (see his open arms)

   Chorus

The power of hell forever defeated
Now it is well, I'm walking in freedom

For God so loved, God so loved the world

Praise God, praise God
From whom all blessings flow
Praise him, praise him
For the wonders of his love
(repeat)

For God so loved the world that he gave us
His one and only Son to save

   Chorus

The power of hell forever defeated
Now it is well, I'm walking in freedom
For God so loved, God so loved the world

Bring all your failures, bring your addictions
Come lay them down at the foot of the cross
Jesus is waiting
God so loved the world

Open the Eyes of My Heart

Open the eyes of my heart, Lord
Open the eyes of my heart
   I want to see you
   I want to see you
   (repeat)

To see you high and lifted up
Shining in the light of your glory
Pour out your power and love
As we sing holy, holy, holy

   Chorus (2x)

To see you high and lifted up
Shining in the light of your glory
Pour out your power and love
As we sing holy, holy, holy
(3x)

Holy, holy, holy
Holy, holy, holy
Holy, holy, holy
I want to see you
(repeat)

   Chorus

I Will Follow

When the sea is calm and all is right
When I feel your favor flood my life

Even in the good, I'll follow you
Even in the good, I'll follow you
When the boat is tossed upon the waves
When I wonder if you'll keep me safe
Even in the storms, I'll follow you
Even in the storms, I'll follow you

I believe everything that you say you are
I believe that I have seen your unchanging heart

In the good things and in the hardest part
I believe and I will follow you
I believe and I will follow you

When I see the wicked prospering
When I feel I have no voice to sing

Even in the want, I'll follow you
Even in the want, I'll follow you

   Chorus

When I find myself so far from home
And you lead me somewhere I don't wanna go
Even in my death, I'll follow you
Even in my death, I'll follow you
When I come to end this race I've run
And I receive the prize that Christ has won

I will be with you in paradise
I will be with you in paradise

   Chorus (2x)

And Then the End will Come:
No One Knows - Be Ready
Matthew 24:36-44
The World's True King: A Study in Matthew

Steve Gilbertson

After Jesus predicted the destruction of the Temple, his disciples asked, "Tell us, when
will these things be, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?"
Jesus' apocalyptic - and cryptic! - answer has challenged and encouraged his followers
ever since. Today we move into the last portion of Jesus' discourse, where he tells us,
"Be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect."

Matthew 24:36-44 (ESV)

15 "So when you see the abomination of desolation spoken of by the prophet Daniel, standing in
the holy place (let the reader understand), 16 then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.
17 Let the one who is on the housetop not go down to take what is in his house, 18 and let the one
who is in the field not turn back to take his cloak. 19 And alas for women who are pregnant and for
those who are nursing infants in those days! 20 Pray that your flight may not be in winter or on a
Sabbath. 21 For then there will be great tribulations, such as has not been from the beginning of the
world until now, no, and never will be. 22 And if those days had not been cut short, no human being
would be saved. But for the sake of the elect those days will be cut short. 23 Then if anyone says to
you, 'Look, here is the Christ!' or 'There he is!' do not believe it. 24 For false christs and false prophets
will arise and perform great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect. 25 See,
I have told you beforehand. 26 So, if they say to you, 'Look, he is in the wilderness,' do not go out. If
they say, 'Look, he is in the inner rooms,' do not believe it. 27 For as the lightning comes from the east
and shines as far as the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. 28 Wherever the corpse is, there
the vultures will gather.

29 "Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give
its light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 30 Then will
appear in heaven the sign of the Son of Man, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will
see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 And he will send out his
angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven
to the other.

32 "From the fig tree learn its lesson: as soon as its branch becomes tender and puts out its leaves, you know
that summer is near. 33 So also, when you see all these things, you know that he is near, at the very gates.
34 Truly, I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place. 35 Heaven and earth
will pass away, but my words will not pass away.

36 "But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father
only. 37 For as were the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. 38 For as in those days before
the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day when Noah entered the
ark, 39 and they were unaware until the flood came and swept them all away, so will be the coming of the Son
of Man. 40 Then two men will be in the field; one will be taken and one left. 41 Two women will be drinking at the
mill; one will be taken and one left. 42 Therefore, stay awake, for you do not know on what day your Lord is coming.
43 But know this, that if the master of the house had known in what part of the night the thief was coming, he would
have stayed awake and would not have let his house be broken into. 44 Therefore you also must be ready, for the
Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.
