Psalm 121

1   I lift up my eyes to the hills.
From where does my help come?
2   My help comes from the Lord,
        who made heaven and earth.

3   He will not let your foot be moved;
he who keeps you will not slumber.
4   Behold, he who keeps Israel
       will neither slumber nor sleep.

5   The Lord is your keeper;
the Lord is your shade on your right hand.
6   The sun shall not strike you by day,
        nor the moon by night.

7   The Lord will keep you from all evil;
        he will keep your life.
8   The Lord will keep
your going out and your coming in
from this time forth and forevermore.

Ain't No Grave (Gonna Hold My Body Down)

There ain't no grave can hold my body down
There ain't no grave can hold my body down
When I hear that trumpet sound
I'm gonna rise right out of the ground
Ain't no grave can hold my body down

Well, look down yonder, Gabriel
Put your feet on land and sea
But Gabriel, don't you blow your trumpet 'til you hear it from me
Well, look way down the river
What do you think I see
I see a band of angels, and they're coming after me

   Chorus

Well, meet me, Jesus, meet me
Meet me in the air
And if these wings don't fail me
I will meet you anywhere
I'm going down to the river of Jordan
Bury my knees beneath the sand
Gonna holler high hosanna 'til I see that promised land

   Chorus

Well, look way down the river
What do you think I see
I see a band of angels, and they're coming after me

   Chorus

Only a Holy God

Who else commands all the hosts of heaven
Who else could make every king bow down

Who else can whisper and darkness trembles
Only a Holy God

What other beauty demands such praises
What other splendor outshines the sun
What other majesty rules with justice
Only a Holy God

   Come and behold him
   The One and the Only
   Cry out sing holy
   Forever a Holy God
Come and worship the Holy God

What other glory consumes like fire
What other power can raise the dead
What other name remains undefeated
Only a Holy God

   Chorus

Who else could rescue me from my failing
Who else would offer his only Son
Who else invites me to call him Father
Only a Holy God
Only my Holy God

   Chorus

I Will Follow

When the sea is calm and all is right
When I feel your favor flood my life

Even in the good, I'll follow you
Even in the good, I'll follow you
When the boat is tossed upon the waves
When I wonder if you'll keep me safe
Even in the storms, I'll follow you
Even in the storms, I'll follow you

I believe everything that you say you are
I believe that I have seen your unchanging heart

In the good things and in the hardest part
I believe and I will follow you
I believe and I will follow you

When I see the wicked prospering
When I feel I have no voice to sing

Even in the want, I'll follow you
Even in the want, I'll follow you

   Chorus

When I find myself so far from home
And you lead me somewhere I don't wanna go
Even in my death, I'll follow you
Even in my death, I'll follow you
When I come to end this race I've run
And I receive the prize that Christ has won
I will be with you in paradise
I will be with you in paradise

   Chorus (2x)

Poured Out and Delivered Up
Matthew 26:1-16
The World's True King: A Study in Matthew

Steve Gilbertson

At long last, we approach the climax of Matthew's Gospel: Jesus' death and
resurrection. Incredibly, this is exactly the kind og King Jesus is, and the kind of
kingdom he brings. He is the King who lays down his life in order to rescue his people.
It is the most astounding "turn" in history - a self-sacrifical love which either causes
us to bow down in worship, as did Mary, or to reject Jesus alrogether, as did Judas.

Matthew 26:1-16 (ESV)

26 When Jesus had finished all these sayings, he said to his disciples, 2 "You know that
after two days the Passover is coming, and the Son of Man will be delivered up to be
crucified."

3 Then the chief priests and the elders of the people gathered in the palace of the high
priest, whose name was Caiaphas, 4 and plotted together in order to arrest Jesus by stealth
and kill him. 5 But they said, "Not during the feast, lest there be an uproar among the
people."

6 Now when Jesus was at Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, 7 a woman came up to
him with an alabaster flask of very expensive ointment, and she poured it on his head as he
reclined at the table. 8 And when the disciples saw it, they were indignant, saying, "Why
this waste? 9 For this could have been sold for a large sum and given to the poor." 10 But Jesus,
aware of this, said to them, "Why do you trouble the woman? For she has done a beautiful
thing to me. 11 For you always have the poor with you, but you will not always have me. 12 In
pouring this ointment on my body, she has done it to prepare me for burial. 13 Truly, I say to

you, wherever this gospel is proclaimed in the whole world, what she has done will also be told
in memory of her."

14 Then one of the twelve, whose name was Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests 15 and said,
"What will you give me if I deliver him over to you?" And they paid him thirty pieces of silver.
16 And from that moment he sought an opportunity to betray him.
