Psalm 141

1   O Lord, I call upon you; hasten to me!
Give ear to my voice when I call to you!
2   Let my prayer be counted as incense before you,
and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice!

3   Set a guard, O Lord, over my mouth;
keep watch over the door of my lips!
4   Do not let my heart inclilne to any evil,
to busy myself with wicked deeds
in company with men who work iniquity,
and let me not eat of their delicacies!

5   Let a righteous man strike me-it is a kindness;
       let him rebuke me-it is oil for my head;
let my head not refuse it.
Yet my prayer is continually against their evil deeds.
6   When their judges are thrown over the cliff,
then they shall hear my words, for they are pleasant.
7   As when one plows and breaks up the earth,
so shall our bones be scattered at the mouth of Sheol.

8   But my eyes are toward you, O God, my Lord;
in you I seek refuge; leave me not defenseless!
9   Keep me from the trap that they have laid for me
and from the snares of evildoers!
10  Let the wicked fall into their own nets,
        while I pass by safely.

Welcome Table

I'm gonna sit at the welcome table
I'm gonna sit at the welcome table one of these days
I'm gonna sit at the welcome table
Sit at the welcome table one of these days, one of these days

I'm gonna feast on milk and honey
I'm gonna feast on milk and honey one of these days
I'm gonna feast on milk and honey
Gonna feast on milk and honey one of these days

   Chorus

All God's children gonna sit together
All God's children gonna sit together one of these days, hallelujah
All God's children gonna sit together
All of God's children gonna sit together one of these days, one of these days

   Chorus

All Creatures of Our God and King

All creatures of our God and King
Lift up your voice and with us sing
O praise him, alleluia
Thou burning sun with golden beam
Thou silver moon with softer gleam
O praise him, O praise him
Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia

Thou rushing wind that art so strong
Ye clouds that sail in heaven along
O praise him, alleluia
Thou rising moon in praise rejoice
Ye lights of evening find a voice
O praise him, O praise him
Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia

Let all things their creator bless
And worship him in humbleness
O praise him, alleluia
Praise, praise the Father, praise the Son
And praise the Spirit, three in One
O praise him, O praise him
Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia

O alleluia, alleluia, alleluia
O alleluia, alleluia, alleluia (3x)

Praise, praise the Father, praise the Son
And praise the Spirit, three in One
O praise him, O praise him
Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia

This is My Father's World

This is my Father's world, and to my listening ears
All nature sings, and round me rings
The music of the spheres
This is my Father's world, I rest me in the thought
Of rocks and trees, of skies and seas
His hand the wonders wrought

This is my Father's world, the birds their carols raise
The morning light, the lily white
Declare their Maker's praise
This is my Father's world, he shines in all that's fair
In the rustling grass I hear him pass
He speaks to me everywhere

This is my Father's world, O let me ne'er forget
That though the wrong seems oft so strong
God is the ruler yet
This is my Father's world, the battle is not done
Jesus Who died shall be satisfied
And earth and heav'n be one

Worth Waiting For
Habakkuk: "I Will Quietly Wait" (Advent 2022)
Romans 8:18-25
Steve Gilbertson

Habakkuk's prayer was not answered until well after his lifetime. Simeon and
Anna's prayers were not answered until they were very old. Was it worth the
wait? We certainly think so, for the whole world celebrates the birth of Jesus,
God's promised Deliverer. But what about now? For the past 2,000 years, we've
been waiting for Jesus' return and the renewal of creation. Is it worth the wait?
What do you think?

Romans 8:18-25 (ESV)

18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with
the glory that is to be revealed to us. 19 For the creation waits with eager longing for
the revealing of the sons of God. 20 For the creation was subjected to futility, not
willingly, but because of him who subjected it, in hope 21 that the creation itself will
be set free from its bondage to corruption and obtain the freedom of the glory of the
children of God. 22 For we know that he whole creation has been groaning together in
the pains of childbirth until now. 23 And not only the creation, but we ourselves, who
have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for adoption as sons,
the redemption of our bodies. 24 For in this hope we were saved. Now hope that is seen
is not hope. For who hopes for what he sees? 25 But if we hope for what we do not see,
we wait for it with patience.

26 Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we
ought, but he Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. 27 And
he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes
for the saints according to the will of God. 28 And we know that for those who love God all
things work together for good, for those who are alled according to his purpose. 29 For those
whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that
he might be the firstborn among many brothers. 30 And those whom he predestined he also
called, and those whom he called he also justified, and those whom he justified he also
glorified.
