Psalm 142

1   With my voice I cry out to the Lord;
with my voice I plead for mercy to the Lord.
2   I pour out my complaint before him;
I tell my trouble before him.

3   When my spirit faints within me,
       you know my way!
In the path where I walk
they have hidden a trap for me.
4   Look to the right and see:
       there is none who takes notice of me;
     no refuge remains to me;
no one cares for my soul.

5   I cry to you, O Lord;
I say, "You are my refuge,
my portion in the land of the living."
6   Attend to my cry,
for I am brought very low!
     Deliver me from my persecutors,
for they are too strong for me!
7   Bring me out of prison,
that I may give thanks to your name!
     The righteous will surround me,
for you will deal bountifully with me.

I Can't Even Walk

I thought number one would surely be me
I thought I could be what I wanted to be
I thought I could build on life's sinking sand
But now I can't even walk without you holding my hand

Oh Lord, I can't even walk without you holding my hand
The mountains too high and the valleys too wide
Down on my knees that's where I learned to stand
Oh Lord, I can't even walk without you holding my hand

I thought I could do a lot on my own
I thought I could make it all alone
I thought of myself as a mighty big man
But Lord I can't even walk without you holding my hand

   Chorus

I think I'll make Jesus my all and all
And if I'm in trouble on his name I'll call
If I didn't trust him, I'd be less of a man
'Cause Lord I can't even walk without you holding my hand

   Chorus

Oh Lord, I can't even walk without you holding my hand

God So Loved the World

Come all you weary, come all you thirsty
Come to the well that never runs dry
Drink of the water, come and thirst no more

Come all you sinners, come find his mercy
Come to the table, he will satisfy
Taste of his goodness, find what you're looking for

For God so loved the world that he gave us
His one and only Son to save us
Whoever believes in him will live forever

Bring all your failures, bring your addictions
Come lay them down at the foot of the cross
Jesus is waiting there with open arms (see his open arms)

   Chorus

The power of hell forever defeated
Now it is well, I'm walking in freedom
For God so loved, God so loved the world

Praise God, praise God
From whom all blessings flow
Praise him, praise him
For the wonders of his love
(repeat)

For God so loved the world that he gave us
His one and only Son to save

   Chorus

The power of hell forever defeated
Now it is well, I'm walking in freedom
For God so loved, God so loved the world

Bring all your failures, bring your addictions
Come lay them down at the foot of the cross
Jesus is waiting
God so loved the world

Your Hands

I have unanswered prayers
I have trouble I wish wasn't there
And I have asked a thousand ways
That you would take my pain away
That you would take my pain away

I am trying to understand
How to walk this weary land
Make straight the paths that crooked lie
Oh Lord, before these feet of mine
Oh Lord, before these feet of mine

   When my world is shaking
   Heaven stands
   When my heart is breaking
   I never leave your hands

When you walked upon the earth
You healed the broken, lost, and hurt
I know you hate to see me cry
One day you will set all things right
Yea, one day you will set all things right

   Chorus

Your hands
Your hands that shape the world
Are holding me, they hold me still
Your hands that shape the world
Are holding me, they hold me still

   Chrous (2x)

The Apostle and the Gospel
The Gospel Changes Everything: A Study in Galatians
Galatians 1:1-9
Steve Gilbertson

We recently finished studying Matthew's gospel, which concludes with Jesus'
commission to "Go and make disciples of all nations...." This is exactly what
they did. Despite massive obstacles, within a few generations this band of
rag-tag disciples literally chaned the world. How did this happen, and what can
we learn from their example? We'll explore this as we study what is perhaps
the earliest Christian document in the Bible: Paul's letter to the Galatians.

Buckle up!

Galatians 1:1-9 (ESV)

1 Paul, an apostle-not from men nor through man, but through Jesus Christ and God
the Father, who raised him from the dead- 2 and all the brothers who are with me,

To the churches of Galatia:

3 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, 4 who gave
himself for our sins to deliver us from the present evil age, according to the will of
our God and Father, 5 to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen.

6 I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting him who called you in the grace of
Christ and are turning to a different gospel- 7 not that there is another one, but there
are some who trouble you and want to distort the gospel of Christ. 8 But even if we or
an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to
you, let him be accursed. 9 As we have said before, so now I say again: If anyone is
preaching to you a gospel contrary to the one you received, let him be accursed.

10 For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man?
If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ.

Galatians 6:14-15 (ESV)

14 But far be it from me to boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by which
the world has been curcified to me, and I to the world. 15 For neither circumcision
counts for anything, nor uncircumcision, but a new creation.
