Welcome to ecclesia: Church at the Chip

ecclesia: Church at the Chip meets outdoors for worship behind the Buffalo Chip Saloon every Sunday morning at 9:00 a.m. It’s not the most common place for a church to meet, but to us, it seems like the perfect place to have church in our western-themed town. For as we often say, “we meet in the heart of Cave Creek, for the heart of Cave Creek.”

Church at the Chip features a casual western atmosphere, acoustic music with a bluegrass flavor, practical messages from the Bible, and the weekly observance of Communion, all in a beautiful outdoor setting.

All sorts of folks are part of our church family. Some of us wear cowboy hats to church; others of us don’t even own a cowboy hat. Some of us bring our Bibles to church; a few of us bring our dogs to church. Some of us have gone to church our whole lives; others of us are brand new to church-going.

Doesn’t matter to us. Whether you are a devout follower of Jesus or just checking things out, we welcome you to Church at the Chip.

Church at the Chip, Live Stream

April 14, 2024

Sunday at 9:00AM

We all want something to believe, somewhere to belong, and something to live for.

Our conviction is that the Bible answers these fundamental questions by

  • calling us to faith in the gospel of Jesus (something to believe)

  • gathering us in love as the community of Jesus (somewhere to belong)

  • sending us with hope on the mission of Jesus (something to live for)

Faith, love, and hope: These are the fundamental values of Church at the Chip. Everything we do, from our corporate worship on Sundays to our small group Bible Studies on weekdays, to our various special events — all are designed to help us grow in faith, in love, and in hope.

Church at the Chip is a community of faith, love and hope

A favorite song of ours says this: “We are a family, for Christ has made us one; His blood is flowing through our veins, we are sisters and brothers, daughters and sons.”

While large worship gatherings are vital for inspiration, teaching and outreach, we can only really learn to love others like family when we get know one another in small groups.

This is why we have a variety of small groups where we can grow stronger in our relationship with God and closer to our brothers and sisters in Christ. Click the tab below to learn more about our small group options.
